oh god....

hmmm...  I should join.  I've been having some really odd behaviour for
a bit and  I really do wonder if someone is using my machine for batch
processes.  But nothing untoward show up in ps, tops, etc. and just may
be some of the new background processes I do not know about, but I've
got to wonder...
