Hi, Peter-

Actually, it is not that you would
be paid $80,000, get taxed a third,
and then have to pay business
expenses. You would normally be
paid $80,000, then pay business
expenses out of that, and then get
taxed a third on the remainder.
Depending on how diligent one is in
recording/reporting business
related expenses, one's reported
net income and taxes can be
substantially reduced.
