SuSE 7.3 sparc64

I installed SuSE 7.3 on my Sun Ultra 5, and my current issue is changing my 
hostname without using YaST. i made the change in /etc/hosts and 
/etc/HOSTNAME, but there seems to be another file, or other files that 
contain the real hostname. so editing /etc/hosts or /etc/HOSTNAME have no 
effect on the machines hostname. just a little curious as to where the "Real 
Hostname" is located. BTW this is my first time really working with SuSE, RH 
and MDK have been my flavors of choice.
