I don't think we need to do it for the GNU/Linux dists. Probably the same
for the *BSDs. m$, mac and solaris platforms could definitely use it,
though.

Let's concentrate on m$ for now, though if someone has specific needs for
the others they could certainly lead that.

What other Free Software apps are available? Which ones do we want to
encourage and help support?

The Best Of or What Everybody Needs concept is where I see our greatest
chance for success.
