Also Steve, you can use nat on the box instead of installing a Proxy 
server.  With NAT, your configuration would be as follows...

Win98:
IP: 10.1.1.2
Mask: 255.255.255.0 or 255.0.0.0 (Don't know what you are using)
Gateway: 10.1.1.1
DNS: Use what your ISP provides

MAC:
IP: 10.1.1.3
Mask: Same as 98 machine
Gateway: 10.1.1.1
DNS: Use what your ISP provides

This may be easier than the Proxy, though it also requires configuration on 
the Caldera box.  Your choice.  Now in this configuration you would have 
your Windows and Mac machines setup as if they were directly connected to 
the Internet, i.e. NO PROXY BOX CHECKED.
