Seti@Home works differently on Linux than Windows. The actual seti@home
program runs in the background with no visual indications of what it's
doing ('ps ax' being a good way to see if it's running). There's a GUI
you can install that can give you a visual indication of seti@home's
progress once the program is running in the background.
