Going from LPR to CUPS on RedHat 7.2

Correction, LPD not LPR is handling the printing on my system.

How about (educated guessing here):

1. Remove LPD with "rpm -e lpd"
2. ./configure, make, etc. CUPS from the source I downloaded
3. Try to print something
