Hi Clayton,
NIC = Network Interface Card. Ethernet is a type of NIC, and so is your
modem/serial port. Even your parallel port can be a NIC. My first
firewall used one ethernet card (for the ISP) and a parallel port for my
other computer.
Comp B can use a static IP, but you need to have a default gateway set
up - the IP address of Comp A. Comp A does not need one NIC, and your
ppp script will take care of adding the default gw to your routing
table.
