Desktop is larger than the monitor screen. Can it be set to fit?

Comment out the option for "Virtual" in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4.

Make a copy of the file first, just in case. I suggest timestamped
filenames, e.g. XF86Config-4.15Jul2002 for mine.
