Topic #1: Has anyone else had problems with the Java plug-in for
Galeon? I installed it with Mozilla, and now both Galeon and Mozilla
crash when I check my FHSU email (which I have to do via the FHSU web
site). I also couldn't get it to work with Netscape 6.2, so I finally
had to install 4.7 just so I could reply to my dang email.
Topic #2: With the kinds of problems I've had today with my printer,
Java, X in Debian, etc. I probably have huevos grandes (yep, that's "big
eggs" :)) to suggest this, but I'm teaching an online Linux for Networks
class at Fort Hays State University. It starts Monday, Aug. 26th. It's
the Advanced class (Basic was in the spring), but I have the power of
instructor approval . . .mmmmwah, hah, hah. Email me offlist if you are
interested. (By the way, this is a real, if small, university in
Kansas, established in 1901, not a diploma mill. My bachelor's and
master's degrees are from FHSU. :))
