Debian installation postmortem

With my little exposure (Had it for 5 days and moved to SuSE 8, because 
KDE just did not work for me with woody) to woody, here are my suggestions:

To cycle through resolution use

I remember having the same problem and I assumed that my CD is 
corrupted. I recycle my CD's regularly. After that, I restarted the 
installation with network install and that did download all the 
pacakages without generating any errors. So, if you have a broadband, 
move the installation to ftp/http, after starting with CD.
