KDE menus from Gnome

If I want to be sarcastic I use the hard "G" otherwise I use the soft "G".
I doubt there is any "official" correct way to pronounce them.

Am I crazy for pronouncing things as I was tought in english?  Gnome
with a soft G and GNU seperately G N U and linux with a short I lin-ux.
