autocad replacement?

Hrm... Most seem to be in the development stage, but one stands out as a
pretty good replacement. It's called QCad and specializes in 2D stuff
exclusively. Thing is, it's commercial -- can't even get the demo of the
durn thing free. That's not surprising considering how overrun the CAD
software market is with commercialism.

Unfortunately, other searches into free Linux CAD systems ended up with
either specialized toolkits or programs, or partially designed CAD libraries
that can barely draw lines.

Anybody else come up with anything other than that?
