In the Setup for the Linksys Router, be sure that the Domain Name field contains
your @Home Domain name and not just "@home". This is passed on to the search line
in /etc/resolv.conf on my box (Mandrake8.1 with kernel updated to 2.5.0).

This allows ping mail and ping news.
