Newreader recommendation?

Maybe I am missing something, which if quite possible since I tried KNode for 
the first time yesterday, but I could not find a way to search the available 
groups list.  I remembered a list I was subscribed to back in the Windows 
world but I could not remember the full name.  The newsgroups are listed in a 
tree structure, which is well organized, but it only showed the section of 
the name for the branch you are in.  I could only remember the last few words 
of the name, not the "root" words so I could not find the newsgroup I wanted. 
 I did not see a search function.

I have not fully switched from KNode, my first taste was just not as good as 
I wanted.  So I thought I would look around.  (I am not married to a solution 
yet, after all.)
