I agree...  I do not mind hearing the chanting in the background "my
distro's betetter than yours..."

but this is starting to turn nasty...  Bummer deal...

The problem that I see with writing a FAQ is that to best set it up you
would need to write it as inpartial as possible.  The real dificulty is
that each distro focuses on certain things.  I like SuSE because out of
the box it caters to a higher end user.  It is not quite as easy to
install or maintain as RedHat or mandrake, but when I had this machine
built I wanted to do multiprocessing and distributed computing
development and experimentation.   SuSE at the time was one of the only
distro's that came complete with all of the packages prebuilt for
Beowolf, SciLab, etc.  This was nice for me since I was playing with
them at the time...

RedHat is probably the best supported and, last I checked, had one of
the largest user bases.  It is nearly a braindead install.  I've herd
tale that Mandrake is similar (and I have not played withthat distro in
several years)...

Can we set up some criteria, a set of questions, evaluation marks, etc.,
to give an impartial critique so people can read it and figure that XYZ
is a better distro for me because...
