Actually, I heard of someone who was trying to build a true GNU/Solaris
dist. He wanted to keep the Solaris kernel, wipe the rest of the OS and
build what most everyone calls Linux, e.g. all the GNU/XFree86/*BSD/etc.,
tools around the Solaris kernel.

Search the debian developer mailing list if you're interested and want to
find out if he did anything with the idea.
