When will people learn that MS is more concerned with preserving their
monopoly than in addressing user security issues???

WASHINGTON (CBS.MW) -- The FBI is urging computer users to unplug and don't
play when
it comes to addressing serious security flaws found in Microsoft's new
Windows XP program.

In an unusual alert to computer users, the law enforcement agency's National
Infrastructure Protection Center is advising users of the new Windows system
to disable "universal plug and play" features, in addition to installing a
free software fix available on Microsoft's Web site.

. . .

Microsoft also said it would not [bother to] send e-mail reminders to XP
customers detailing the importance of downloading the fix.

[Microsoft] Shares closed Friday up 78 cents at $67.54.
