lee-nuhx is more correct, I think.  I generally say lyn-uhx.

Go here: http://www.linux.org/info/index.html and click the "English version" link for the "How to pronounce Linux."  It is a recording of Linux himself saying Linux.

I chalk the "lee" sound to the his accent when speaking english and 'english-ize' the way he says it with my "lyn"
