Need suggestions for wireless keyboard/mouse & TV setup

I've had similar thoughts now that flat screen terminals are coming down in price although I have yet to find a model where the connector is on the bottom instead of the back of the screen. This would be necessary to hang the screen on a wall.
As for the wireless stuff, why not use a wireless laptop as your remote?
