Jabber/IRC/etc (was Re: "JABBER" on the list Can't wekeep it down?)

I for one have allot of admiration for all of the posts on this list.
Nobody seems to pull punches and most seem to believe they
are disseminating valuable knowledge. What ever the motive (heh heh
"JABBER") of a individual to admonish this community
I hope that we will not discourage open and "free" discourse. I want more
people to become involved with this community
(more postings). The more "open" the better. I actually use the
information from this list in my daily business routine. Again
I want to thank all who post to this forum for making my life easier as I
move forward with more installations of *nix. Every
post, even yours John, promotes the use of this superior operating system.

P.S.
I am not familiar with protocol on responding to any particular list other
than being civil and constructive. Please let me know
of and where to get this protocol if it exists.
