HELP HELP 2.4.9 Kernal Compilation and X-windows F%^$ Up

That's right. The 2.4.9 kernel uses the newer 4.1.0 DRI and DRM modules. You
can't use XFree86 4.0.1 or lower anymore with DRI support turned on.
Without, however, I believe 4.1.0 should work without a problem.
