How to refresh the desktop in KDE2?

 Hello,

How do I refresh the desktop in KDE2? It used to be -- right click on 
the background there it was.

My actual problem is -- when I run iPlanet Application Server console 
remotely (Solaris 8) from my linux box(SuSE 7.1), I often forget to 
start it in 8bit color mode. Since, java 1.2.2 SDK has problem with 
anything more than 8bit, it leaves some ugly windows on my linux 
desktop. Any answer to get rid of them is appreciated.
