Actually, though Covad filed for Chapter 11 it will not be affecting the
services they provide such as DSL.
I have Speakeasy which uses Covad for the connetion in my area, and I
recieved an email from them yesterday saying they were pleased to announce
the courts and Covad would not have anything to do with the DSL, and now
Speakeasy is hooking up with another company (the name escapes me at the
moment) so they will be around for a while..  They have been awesome for
me!
