info scp has examples of how to do it

scp <ASURITE ID>@general.asu.edu:/dir/for/file/remotefile /dest/dir/for/file

location of the remote file for AFS space (your M:) is /afs/asu.edu/users/
followed by three folders made up from the first three letters of your ASURITE
ID (e.g. ASURITE ID = kissime then path to AFS is
/afs/asu.edu/users/k/i/s/kissime)
