Difficulty mounting floppy

Try:
mount -t msdos /dev/fd0h1440 /mnt
or:
mount -t vfat /dev/fd0h1440 /mnt

Its a windows disk.

...if you've made lots of little mountpoints inside /mnt, mount it
there instead.
