write it in Windows, deploy it to *nix?

IE has already been ported to Unix
(http://www.microsoft.com/unix/ie/default.asp), but it is only for Solaris
and HP.

As for Office...I believe that somehow through OSE, you can load Word and
Excel (I think that's it right now) through the web. Although I haven't seen
this, maybe I'll tinker with that some time this weekend.  <g>

There were some rumors they are porting M$ programs to
unix.  In particulare I have read somewere about
IE and Office.

Don't know how much of this is true.
Those are only rumors which M$ is
denying.
