To add a linux box to an NT network, you need to add
the box name to Server Manager on the NT PDC. Then you
have to set security=domain
Then enter 'smbpasswd -j <DOMAIN> -r <PDC-NAME>
If your box name is entered into Server Manager, you
should successfully join the domain.
Make sure your user ids match up.
