For an IDE tape drive it's probably /dev/ftape, I think. IDE sucks for
backups :). Check the ftape-HOWTO at the LDP and check the info available
from the bru guys, e.g. www.ESTinc.com.

BTW, On Stream was what was recommended to me if you're stuck with IDE for
backup.
