\_ First, can your Linux box ping itself? \_ \_ Second, what's the output of ifconfig ? \_ \_ Third, what's the output of route ? Fourth, try cycling the modem; some here have reported that the modem lifts the MAC address of the NIC and is only happy with that one until a power cycle, IIRC. David
