Having difficulty copying live cds

I am having a real drag of a problem when it comes to copying live cds with
XCDRoast.  After one song ends, there is a pause before the next song begins,
interrupting the audiance's cheer.  I tried limiting any skipping of seconds
during tracks, and I tweeked with other cdroast options.  Nothing seems to work.
Does anybody have a way to cleanly copy live cds without the pause between
tracks?
