HOW MUCH DOES THE DSL HARDWARE COST?

COVAD, from my understanding, sometimes will need to have another pair
installed. But I've also heard where they will install their equipment in
the CO and use the existing pair. Either way all COVAD is doing as acting
as a DSL provider not as an ISP. Just like MegaBit is a division of uswest
providing DSL and uswest.net is the ISP. As far as who will maintain the
pair the best people to ask would be COVAD or US West.
