Motorola pagewriter 2000x

Work just got one of these cool little jobbies and
I have been playing around with it.  Does anyone
know of any linux software that I can use for
logging in and loading applications/saving/backup
etc... to this thing.  I tried hooking it up
to /dev/ttyS0 and running minicom on it to see
if it gave any kind of login but it did not, and
just hung for a while.  I also can't seem to get
it to access through vmware with windows although
I "think" I have the com port setup right.  Just
any information on this little guy that I could
use with linux would be great.
