Problems with Samba

Although i decided to go with the reinstall approach I
think you had it with the /etc/hosts thing. I seem
to just bearly remember changing that to inclued more
than just the 127.0.0.1 localhost settings to include
a localhost.localdomain or something. My own stupid
mistake. I don't know for sure because I jumped into
do back and reinstall. Fortanatly from this I was able
to dump Redhat and get Debian on our main server. It
is running much nicer then the older box was. Redhat
is nice for single user machines or quick servers but
customizeing Debian is just so much easier. Now I have
a nice tight install of around 300 megs and all user data
installed with about 2 gigs of info. I have printers up
and running, dhcp, and dns. I had sendmail doing relaying
for outgoing mail (it is behind an ipmasq box and not visable
to the outside in) for some employies. I am thinking of
setting up qmail for this and maybe even migrate email
to be completely on this machine (whitch would make me have
to put it vis to the outside i think right?). Anyway, that
is what the status is on my Samba catastrophy. I would
like to thank everyone that left me voice mail, and email.
Unfortantly I paniced but I think everything is good now.
