Mandrake v7.1 install

I've got a RH6.1 install and I installed the same video drivers from 3DFX.
The only problem I've got with them is when I shut down X.  When the screen
shades out in four section right?  One of the sections is black not shaded.
Wierd huh?  Anyone else have that problem?
