Install failure

 -- LILO is looking for something and can't find it (partitions changed or
moved)
 -- your mbr is screwed up  (try fdisk /mbr)
 -- your boot partition is above cylinder 1024 and you don't have latest
LILO version
 -- something is just plain wrong with your hard drive (media failure)

Those are my guesses.....
