Best mouse for linux/W98 dual boot?

\_ Now I would like a three button mouse for my serial port.  COSTCO has an
\_ optical MS with that scrolling wheel for about $40.  I don't know if the
\_ scrolling wheel works in linux.

The extra buttons are easy for button counts up to 5.  After that
you're in unsupported territory.

btn1 = left
btn2 = press wheel
btn3 = right
btn4 = wheely up
btn5 = wheely down

But you have to tweak your xconfig  with, um, "ZAxisMapping 4 5"
IIRC.  "Buttons 7" may work for some applications, but I wouldn't go
holding my breath.
