Webshots on linux?

I had though about something like this before also.  kind of a slashdot effect
website specificly to request features from diffrent companys.  Idealy this
would be a list of software/hardware companys with products that would do
well under linux.  an email to that company with the most important person
you could find.  along with a brief message about what their product is and
how it could be usefull to linux people.

The bad thing about this is it would probly be prone to flames to the company
rather than well thought out requests for features.
