Joel,
If all you want is mail in and mail out, then qmail.
Not being very detailed in your requirements it's difficult to tell.
Do your users utilize scheduling and calendaring features of outlook? Are
they using Outlook?
Another product to look at is hp openmail, it is commercialware, similar in
features to MS Exchange. Check it out at openmail.hp.com
