Getting ldp to run

Thanks for the reply Rick.  I don't know what happened but I had to boot my 
machine into win95 yesterday and when I rebooted into Linux last night, the 
printer started working right.  I thought lpd would startup without 
rebooting but maybe I misunderstood.
