A few questions about Deb

First question. I've installed Java SDK and the JRE. How do you add directory
to be use (i.e. kinda like a "path" statement in windows) to be search for the
binaries. What do I edit to add those directories that I want. So I can use
them in any directory.

Second. Does Debian have a util like "setup" in RH. Because in setup you can
set what services are loaded at the time of start. Is there a program that you
can just select the services. Also what script does it edit in /etc?

If you could also send me your answers as well as post them.
