Hmm.. Maybe. 

On the other hand, theres a reason there is (or, was) three times as many suicides on Dec 25th than any other single day of the year... 

add all the bad things associated with anything other than an ideal family situation during xmas to the natural depression created during what is both literally and figuratively the darkest time of the year and its little wonder...
