You must not have seen Shawn's post then, because he did mention it. Not to
nitpick :)

You are right though; it is probably one of THE best document tools out
there. If only I could find a worthy Windows port...

I haven't heard anyone mention Lyx or Klyx!
I began with Klyx, then found out about Lyx.
It is a front end to LaTex and I will never go
back to anything else.

I just used it to draft up a big proposal for the
top guys, and I couldn't have been happier with
the whole program. 

What I like is that it will keep you focused upon
the content, rather than putzing around with
formatting.
