No. For one thing, there are efforts to get drivers for hardware
decoders written. For another, most likely they only made it illegal
to post the code on a web site. It's probably not illegal to possess
(just guessing...) and you can be sure it will be exchanged on more
anonymous channels.
The hardware decoder boards would be the way to go anyway, I think...
less CPU cycles burned, for better multitasking.
