I know which linksys product your talkin about, but i would recommend
downloading and reading the Home-network mini how-to.  This tells you how to
set up your RH 6.x box as an Internet gateway. It's not that hard and It
will save you $150 - $ 200.
Also if you call cox@home tech support and tell them your using Linux as
your operating system and  that you would like a static IP they should
assign you one.  I may have been lucky or somethin, but the lady at tech
support game me the static IP when I told her I was using Linux.
Thats my extremely rare two-cents worth. =)
