snmp and mrtg

Hello all,
     I have been trying to install mrtg for a while.. but haven't had
any success.. I tried downgrading snmp but with no luck.  when I run the
config file maker for mrtg this is what I get:

It gave me this same error wheter I was using cmu-snmp-3.7 or
umc-snmp-4.1?
I'm completely stumped on this.  Thanks in advance
