[PLUG-Devel] Firebug Illegal Characters

Firebug's reporting illegal characters on the following:

??? var gaJsHost = (("https:" == documen...col) ? "https://ssl." : 
"http://www.");\n

This code came from google analytics, and the 3 characters in question 
are hex CA.

Are these characters somehow functional in some way? Should firebug not 
be flagging them, or should they be removed?
