Topic: Presentation Scheduling and Open Discussion

We have a consistent issue with getting presentations at the Devel
Meeting. I need to beat the bushes more and we need more people to step
up to the projector. I'd like to spend at least a brief time during the
meeting tomorrow in discussion about scheduling presentations. The
goals are two:

1 - Document the types of presentations that the group wants
2 - Create a calendar of topics for the next several months to a year

The first goal refers to the presentation format. Is a projector with
slides and/or code good enough? How about a "hack fest" or some other
hands-on or active presentations? What about tutorials? What else?

The second goal will result a calendar of topics so we can go find the
right people to present them. If we want, for example, something about
kernel driver development in August, we now know what kind of person to
find for that meeting. It may not always work out to find the right
person on the right day but I think more specificity will help us get
something in place.

-----------

Wireless and wired Internet access are available.

We also have a Dell TrueMobile wireless access point that has been
donated to the group. The catch is that we have no power brick or
manuals. If someone wants to make this work on our little wired meeting
network, that would be cool! Model:WLGW2011. It has two network ports,
"DSL/Cable" and "LAN" and one 9-pin serial port labeled "Console" I
have not researched it at all and leave that to someone in the group.

We have a candy machine and soda machines that will take your money for
refreshment. You are welcome to bring your own food. No alcohol please.
