[PLUG-Devel] debugging on linux

Does someone who has played with Insight want to
talk more about it? What does it offer over ddd?
Do I understand correctly that when you do './configure &&
make && make install'  it installs it as gdb? In that case
what happens when you are not in a x windows environment?
