Topic: Google Maps

Kevin Brown has done the group a favor.  With the input member location
data, he created a map of member and meeting locations
(http://www.public.asu.edu/~hellgate/plug/maps.html).  Of course,
questions immediately came up about how this cool map was created.

Kevin will be presenting on the tools and methods used to create a
Google Map page.  The PLUG User Map will be the example.  Should be an
interesting bit of hacking.

Other examples of the usefulness for these types of pages include: -
http://www.chicagocrime.org/ - A mapping database of Chicago crime. -
http://www.housingmaps.com/ - Maps of rentals and housing in various
cities

Kevin is associated with ASU, somehow.  He is a nice guy on the PLUG
email lists and in person.  He likes to eat to stay alive and has been
known to breathe!  If he is not on his computer he is probably doing
something else.
